What a difference a day can make

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

A few years ago I walked  outside my front door, and I realized that the brick apartment buildings that the city was working on across street had come down.   The brick buildings that was my view for over 19 yrs are now gone. My view changed in a day. In one day a brick wall that was normal view was now gone! I had a new view and fresh perspective.

Ephesians 2:13-18. 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

As Jesus hung on the cross and held humanity in His hands, surrendering his life for you and me, our salvation was set in motion.  The Bible declares the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to bottom, thereby opening the door to all the world to come to Jesus and receive mercy. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

What a difference a day makes!! Take heart and be of good courage, Jesus knows where you are, surrender to His will and His Word!  Come boldly before His throne, you will find a place of comfort and refuge! You can arise from that place and your view and perspective can be changed in an instant.

  1. Wow , neat analogy Bob , thank you for that refreshing perspective. It sure makes you think how you can apply Bible texts to modern day applications if you observe life and it’s wonder and beauty . Jesus told us to observe intently the birds of heaven … ( Matthew 6:26 ) Likewise we should observe intently the words of the sacred Bible and the author . Johnna
