Greatness can’t be rushed or forced, but must be made. Time, circumstances, pressure, delay, trials, failures, weakness, hope, patience, temperance, self-control, meekness, testing, expectation, waiting, etc, etc, etc..
Psalm 105:19 ” The Word of the Lord tried him” Joseph is the go to example of faith building and a case study of the path to greatness. Things are not always as they appear on the surface. We have the whole story before us, Joseph did not. Joseph’s betrayal, pain, false accusations, uncomfortable places, foreign surroundings, the dreams of others being fulfilled and his lay dormant, was his reality. Every step seemed to take him further away from God’s plan, but in fact they were brining him closer. Joseph was not in charge of the how, but rather his heart, his attitude, the greatness that the Lord was building and teaching him.
Only the Lord Jesus knows what lies ahead of you, it will take preparation. Greatness is process in action through seemingly insignificance. Keep your heart fixed upon the Lord, be not weary in well doing, keep walking with Jesus.
Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, Fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
